Lion's head is one of the most talked about attractions in Cape Town, so it's hard to avoid it once you're in town. It offers a moderate to easy hike to the top, and a fantastic panoramic view of the ocean once you've reached the peak. Take a camera and a bottle of water. As romantic as it seems to watch the sunset from the top, it would be wise to allow yourself enough time to get back down before it's too dark to see where you're going. On the way down there are some great views of the city. I've watched so many people struggle on soft ground on the way down, best advice is to move relatively swiftly and not fight gravity.
