Lenin's tomb was on the "must see" list. It's not every day you can see an embalmed body in a glass case on display for public amusement. It doesn't appear to be a place of veneration, you're ushered past in 30 seconds to view Lenin, it's kind of weird! However it's free entry in a city where you pay for everything. It's open 10-1pm & I would suggest getting there early as the queues are long. No bags or cameras are allowed but there's a place to leave things. The Russians are obsessed with security!
