Glenveagh Castle is out in the middle of nowhere on 40,000 acres of National Park but is an interesting topography and has an infamous history. It is located in a beautiful valley on the shores of Lough Veagh. You get there from the Visitor Center by shuttle bus. In addition to the grantie building which is the castle, there are extensive formal gardens and woodland walking paths. All this in the middle of some of the bleakest countryside we have seen.
