This is a lovely setting, and the designers decided to let the scenery be most of the memorial. There is a good cell phone tour. It was EXTREMELY windy when we were there--and pretty cold, although it's the end of May. I think this is a nice memorial, but very derivative--since Maya Lin did the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, no one else has been able to think of anything different. Hard to compete with something that dramatically fantastic.
Do not approach using Google maps or GPS; they both show two roads entering from the south, but those roads do not exist. Perhaps they are planned, but you have to enter from the north. Follow signs.
