We decided to visit the EPCOT park rather than Disneyland and spent the entire day and evening in this most amazing park. We first visited "Spaceship Earth", with its distinctive ball shaped, dimpled dome, and experienced a bit of the future. The gardens in the park are quite amazing with many of the Disney characters formed out of flowers, shrubs and trees. The gardens alone make this visit worthwhile.
During the first part of the day the exhibits that stood out were the "Universe of Energy" with a very good recorded multimedia presentation by Ellen DeGeneres (to my surprise), "Mission Space", the car test track with its really worthwhile ride which simulates the the safety testing of new cars, "Segway Central" with the opportunity to learn how to ride a Segway and "Imagination" with is futuristic look at the world around us. Of course during our travels between the exhibits we were treated to the excellent gardens and the occasional Disney character.
Our personal favourites were "The Seas" with its aquariums and "The Land" with its amazing simulated flight over countless sights of the world. This is a must do when at EPCOT. All of the exhibits were of the highest quality and will take at least a day to see.
In the late afternoon and early evening we moved on to the exhibits of countries of the world including replicas of most of the famous sights in the world around us. Most of these exhibits have typical goods for sale and food stalls or restaurants with delicacies from each of the countries on display. This is also a must see when at EPCOT.
A fine day out ended with a spectacular fireworks display over the lake, which is a central part of the park. Although the tickets are pricey this is good value for money. Recommended.
