Not much birdwatching around mid-day. Sharing the forest mainly with Homo sapiens (locals & tourists) lots of young people making lots of noise. Dawn and dusk are apparently the best times for birdwatching. The plant-life is interesting enough if you stop and look closely. (Treeferns with incredibly slender trunks, tiny flowers at ground-level, strange fungal growths, Cordylines) Some of the waterfalls only run when someone jumps into the pool above.
