    Biserica Fecioarei din Tyn este unul dintre simbolurile proeminente ale stilului gotic care se regasesc in Praga. Ca multe alte monumente de aici, aceasta biserica are o istorie lunga, presarata de evenimente. In locul in care astazi se afla biserica cu cele 2 turnuri gotice care domina centrul orasului vechi, au stat 3 biserici, fiecare distruse de rautatea timpului. Un lucru interesant in legatura cu turnurile gemene este ca daca te uiti mai atent, ele nu sunt identice. Unul dintre ele este putin mai trainic si se spune ca aceasta simbolizeaza partea solida a familiei, barbatul. Mai mult decat atat, interiorul acesteia este unul dintre cele mai bogate interioare din Praga. Altarul este opera artistului Karl Skreta, cel mai faimos pictor al vremurilor sale. Pictura altarului reprezinta Ridicarea la Cer a Fecioarei Maria. Biserica Fecioarei din Tyn este un monument care nu poate trece neobservat, in special noaptea, cand maretele sale turnuri par sa domine intrega panorama a vechiului oras.
