We stayed in a small apartment near Le Grand Puit, very close to the castle. Staying inside the medieval town was particularly special after all the tourists left as it seemed to have another ghostly quality. with the shops being closed. Being there was akin to being transported back in time. One could imagine the original town with its livery, blacksmith, and other tradesmen shops. Walking around the ramparts during the off-season was great as we encountered few people. The cathedral was spectacular with its stained glass windows. the restaurants offered local specialties such as cassoulet. Enjoyed it very much!
