Great for those who want a great resort, but also great for those who love going off the beaten path. For the latter, hire a guide. We payed about 500 Pesos for a guide named Boy (who has two braids down the back of his head) who took us on a three hour hike up the seven waterfalls Mambukal has to offer as well as foraged for different creatures for us to see along the trail - a Philippine Crocodile, a tarantula, a walking stick were amongst those we saw. We traipsed around the rice fields and flower farms at the top of the seventh waterfall and saw fruit bats and fighting cocks. AMAZING. Afterwards, went on a zipline (50 Pesos per person) and into the butterfly garden.
