The seating on the Bateaux boat I was on seemed designed to try to fit as many people on the boat as possible. The seats were also uncomfortably hard, and I'm not excessively tall, but my knees were firmly pushed against the seat in front, and I was jostled every time the person in that seat moved. The perspex was scratched and dirty, making for poor photographs, and there was no option that I could see on this boat to get outside to take better photos.I couldn't see a deck at all outside. On the positive side, the multi language commentary was helpful, but sometimes difficult to hear clearly, and staff were professional, polite and friendly. Once I gave up the idea of trying to take photos, I just sat back and enjoyed the sights. It was nice to see the boat beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, but I wouldn't repeat this excursion again. I found taking the regular Batobus in the evening to be a far better option for capturing Paris by night.
