When we first visited here 7 years ago, it appeared that this would become an artist colony. The stores sold unique art and objects from Uruguayan artists. Now, most of the stuff is mass produced and some was marked "Made in China". Really too bad.
Aside from that there are some great restaurants, it has an amazing history and the sunsets at night can't be beat.
