The Auschwitz concentration and death camp is spread out over two properties. One was the first site they built, which now houses the state museum intertwined through the building. The second site is about 10 minutes out of town, if that, and is rows upon rows of buildings, gas chambers, and barbed wire.
The tour is around 3 hours long (2 at the museum, and 1 at the second site). Once the tour is over you can go back through the museum again, and/or watch a movie with footage from the day the camp was discovered.
For a guided tour in english, which you joined a group it was 40 Polish Zloty
The tour is very good, at times slightly rushed, but well laid out, with lots of information from both the guide and through displays around both sites.
