When I first signed up for this, I wondered if I was being taken for a ride (ha ha) given the promise of a beautiful day in Tuscany for a very costly endeavour. Those thoughts were quickly thrown out the window of the vintage Fiat we were driving (Roberto). The cars all have names and their own personalities. The countryside is beautiful and it is exhilarating to hang out the window, take pictures and wave at everyone you pass. We had a delicious cup of coffee at a cafe on the way, and a lovely afternoon ripping around the countryside. After the drive, the "wine tasting" turned into passing the best wine I've tasted in Italy around the table for a few rounds and we also had the best salami and cheese I've tasted thus far in Italy. We left content, drunk, full and talking about the experience for weeks to come. My only suggestion would be to bring a snack, or for Niko to include a snack at the cafe, because it is a long time between breakfast and late afternoon lunch.
